Dr Parag Telang is working as a Consultant Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery 2013 at Dr L H Hiranadani Hospital since October 2013.
With 3 years of post M.Ch teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, Sion, Mumbai.
The only Plastic surgeon from India with Fellowship in the complex surgery of autologous ear reconstruction. Has performed more than 130 autologous ear reconstructions so far. He has specialised training in Minimal Incision Face-lift (MACS-Lift), the most commonly performed technique of face-lifting in Europe. He has more than 15 publications in International and National peer-reviewed journals. He is one of the pioneers of Ultrasonic liposuction and has performed more than 600 body contouring surgeries using ultrasonic liposuction (z-lipo).More than 300 breast implant surgeries and 30 Gender Reassignment surgeries for transgender patients. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards including Henry Gray medal in Anatomy, Best Superspeciality resident 2008-09, Maharashtra Icon of the Year 2013 and many more.
His areas of interest lie Facial Aesthetic surgery, Minimal access and minimal-incision Face-lifting including MACS-Lift, Ear reconstruction using costal cartilage for children with microtia and post-traumatic ear amputations, Breast reshaping: augmentation using silicone implants and stem cell enriched fat, Breast reduction using short-scar technique, Body sculpting using conventional and ultrasonic liposuction techniques, Post massive-weight loss body contouring including circumferential belt lipectomy, Gender resignment surgery for female to male and male to female gender change, Facial Feminisation Surgery for trans-gender patients, Rhinoplasty for nose reshaping.
