There are two programs: one related to Cardiac Rehabilitation (for post cardiac event recovery) and the other one is Primary Prevention or the Wellness program (for those who have high risk factors that may precipitate a cardiac event). In each category we have special customized programs that are target oriented.
Cardiac rehabilitation is a customized exercise and life-style modification programme designed to improve the overall quality of life after you have suffered a heart attack, undergone a heart surgery, or if you are at risk of having heart diseases. The goal of cardiac rehabilitation is to help you regain strength, to prevent your condition from aggravating and to reduce your risk of future heart problems.
Cardiac rehabilitation Programme aims to make the patient:
Older adults with heart disease often have limited ability to exercise and have a higher disability rate; they may benefit the most from a Cardiac Rehabilitation programme.
Wellness is an approach to healthcare which emphasizes upon preventing illness and prolonging life. It is a condition of good physical and mental health especially through deliberate effort of maintaining proper diet, exercise and lifestyle.
We all need to be well and such programmes are for all of us. However, those people who are ‘AT RISK’ of experiencing a cardiac event with 2 or more of the following risk factors:
Trained professionals such as Cardio respiratory Physiotherapist and Cardiologist will design your programme. Your dietician shall design your diet and your personal physician or cardiologist will be notified about your progress.
A thorough evaluation helps the team to assess your physical capability, any limitations and other conditions. Based on these findings, they design your programme, making sure that it is safe and effective.
Each session is supervised by trained professional cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapist who are specialized in the field of cardiac rehabilitation and exercise physiology.

I have been comming to the Rehab for a long time and have seen the sincerity and dedication of Dr.Greeshma's approach towards each patient.
