Dr. Ruju Gala graduated from KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and completed her master's in Internal Medicine at Sion Hospital, Mumbai. She received Nephrology training at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology.
She specializes in adult and pediatric kidney diseases, with expertise in diabetic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, critical care nephrology, hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis. As an interventional nephrologist, she is skilled in procedures like kidney biopsy and Permacath insertions and has extensive experience in kidney transplant management.
Dr. Gala is actively involved in research and academics, earning the Best Oral Paper award for her study on GFR estimating equations at a National Nephrology Conference. She has contributed to numerous national and international journals, textbooks, and online databases.
