Dr. Vinaykumar thapar did his MBBS and MS from Seth G S Medical College and K E M hospital Mumbai. Subsequently he worked as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in department of General Surgery for 10 years (1999-2009). He has trained and obtained a clinical fellowship in Endoscopic Hernia Surgery at Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi under Dr Pradeep Chowbey in 2005. He has undergone Fellowship Training in Living Donor Liver Transplantation at Asan Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea, under Dr S G Lee in 2008.
He has 21 years of post-graduate experience. Before joining Dr L H Hiranandani hospital in 2017 he was Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at SevenHills Hospital Mumbai. He has numerous national and international publications to his credit.
