Ms Komal Renuke has more than 15 years of experience and is working at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital as a Full time Consultant Audiologist & Speech Therapist, Voice Therapist since October 2014.
She is an alumni of prestigious AYJNIHH (Ali Yawar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped) Mumbai, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and having stood 3rd at the All-India PG entrance. She has done her specialization in Voice Rehabilitation Post Laryngectomee from Manipal Institute of Health Sciences and has been trained for handling cochlear implants.
She is highly proficient in all the Audiological evaluations & management like Pure-Tone Audiometry, Impedance Audiometry, Oto-acoustic Emission (OAE), Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA), Higher Auditory evoked potentials, SISI-TDT (Short Increment Sensiturity Index – Tone Decay Test) involved in the assessment & management of Vertigo and specializes in New-born Hearing Screening. She also looks after the Rehabilitation by fitting of hearing aids & conducting hearing aid trials. She is known for her compassion, good counseling skills and her expertise in evaluating various speech disorders & providing tailor-made Therapy program for Adult Neuro-communication disorders like APHASIA and Motor speech disorders like Dysarthria, Swallowing problem in both children and adults, Delayed speech & language development, Stuttering, Misarticulation, Voice disorders, Autism / PDD and many more.
She has had a prolific academic career with various studies, scientific papers & presentations at National level conferences & seminars. She had worked as a Consultant at various hospitals during which she had been trained as a Clinical Specialist for Cochlear –Implants. She also worked on Auditory evoked potentials in epileptic, low birth-weight, high-risk infants & toddlers and developed a protocol of auditory findings in such cases.
She has an inclination for developing a 'Cochlear-Implant Unit' & 'Universal New-Born Screening Unit' and to serve the growing need for extensive Audiological & Speech Rehabilitation Care.
