Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
“Walk for Life 2022” organized by Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, and supported by Silk Kotak Mahindra Bank on 27th November 2022 Sunday, witnessed massive participation from all age groups young and old, and covered a distance of 2.2 km around the scenic Powai. The event was flagged off by Dr Sujit Chatterjee, CEO of Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital and Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, co-founder & MD of Hiranandani Group. The event was organized to spread the word on early detection of Breast Cancer to prevent further complications.
Spearheading the initiative, Dr Sujit Chatterjee, CEO, of Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital said, “The women of our country are a national treasure. It’s time we all wake up to create awareness for the love of women in our life because they are irreplaceable. For the grave disease that it is, the only key to higher long-term survival rates is early detection. Our aim is to reach out to the masses and encourage all women to seek facts and not delay any symptoms the decisions related to it.”.
Dr Namita Pandey - Breast Oncosurgeon - stated “Over the last few years a lot of development has taken place as far curing of this disease is concerned. But still insist that early detection is the key to getting over it. And for this – ‘Breast SELF Examination’ and ‘Regular Screening at the Clinic’ are two very important factors”.
