Dr Khursheed Ansari is a Full Time Consultant Neurosurgeon in the department of Brain and Spine surgery at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, Powai. He has more than 13 years of experience in the field of Neurosurgery.
Dr Khursheed Ansari is an FRCS in neurosurgery (Ed UK) and has nearly 3 years of fellowship from England in various neurosurgical subspecialties which includes prestigious Royal college of Surgeons of England approved fellowship in skull base surgery from North Bristol NHS trust, Bristol and fellowship in neurosurgery- spine, neuro-oncology, epilepsy surgery. He has trained pediatric neurosurgery from the Great Ormond Street Hospital for children, London. He did further course in Epilepsy surgery in Vienna, Austria.
He has previously worked at various reputed hospitals like, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, Wockhardt Hospital and Sevenhills Hospital, Mumbai as a consultant Neurosurgery.
Academically he did his M.S General Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai in 2009. He completed MCh in the field of neurosurgery from one of the most prestigious neuroscience institute SCTIMST in Trivandrum, Kerala in 2012. SCTIMST is an institute of national importance under Government of India. He further did 1 year of postdoctoral fellowship in skull base surgery from SCTIMST and an additional fellowship in Neuro-endoscopic surgery subsequently. He has been trained to do Minimal access surgery for neurological disorder and has been credited with endoscopic CSF rhinorrhoea repair in a 4 month old baby.
He has presented papers at National conferences and has several publications in indexed neurosurgery journals. He has attended many Conferences, Workshops and Neurosurgery CMEs as a speaker and delegate.
He is a life time member of Neurology society of India (NSI), Neurological surgeon’s society of India (NSSI), The Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS).
