NURCON 2015 - A cultural shift moving towards new horizons

Nursing Verticalizaton – Nursing department has created Nursing Verticalization in various areas. This helps in solving the patient’s problems and enables the provision of systemic care for patients. Nurse Managers and Executive Nurses had undergone Nursing Management course affiliated with Kishinchand Chellaram(K.C) College.

Nursing Conclave

Nurses from Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Healthcare Sub-Committee, Western Region conducted the first national Conclave on Nursing on 05th March, 2010 in Mumbai. The Chief Guest was Vice Admiral Richard Carmona, the 17th Surgeon of the United States, who is a Nurse! The other luminaries who attended were – Mr. T Dileep Kumar, Nursing Advisor to the Government of India, Prof Dr. James Thomas, Vice Chancellor and Professor of Cardiovascular thoracic surgery, Dr D Y Patil University, Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chief Managing Trustee of Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital.

The conclave being the first of its kind was well attended by over 150 Nurses. They represented the Nursing Leadership of this country. There was an equal representation from the private and public sector. Nursing issues were discussed and enthusiastically debated. The conclave was successful in addressing the first steps towards changing the Nursing thought process in this country.
