About the Department

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a dedicated OPD complex in the Ground level right next to the Pediatric Department. This supports the concept of the mother and child being close to to each other.

For the pregnant mother OPD is well equipped to make routine diagnosis about the baby’s welfare. There is also a video – colposcope to perform a cancer screening check for women. The findings can be captured on a CD for patient’s record

On the second level are the Labor suites. Large well lit and well ventilated. The air in these areas is specially filtered. The suites are well equipped and can handle all types of deliveries

The Operation room complex is on the same floor for those who require a Cesarean section. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is located adjacent to the delivery suites. If the baby requires immediate attention, it can be given in a short span of time

All forms of Gynecological surgeries are performed in this hospital. ‘Minimal access’ is the focus for the department (Laparoscopic surgery)
