HAZARDS OF HIV AIDS - STUDENT TALK
Hiranandani Hospital, Thane had organized a talk for the students of IX to XII class of Hiranandani Foundation School on 08th December, 2010 at 10am.
The aim was to educate the students on the hazard of HIV AIDS & also to inculcate healthy & safe practices in the students.
The program started with a audio visual clip followed by an interactive session with Dr.George Oomen a specialist in Infectious Diseases & HIV.
The next session was conducted by Dr.Harish Shetty the well known psychiatrist.The interactive session between the students & the speaker was very lively & informative.

STREET PLAY - WORLD AIDS DAY
Hiranandani Hospital, Thane had organized a street play to be staged on the occasion of WORLD AIDS DAY, on 1ST December 2010.The play was conceived & performed by the staff of the hospital. The play was staged at the following areas in the near vicinity of the hospital.
1) Near Dev Bhakti Society, Patlipada
2) Arcadia Circle, Hiranandani Estate
3) Near Sales Office, Hiranandani Estate
The Play saw a good turnout & crowds responded well to the underlying message of the play.

• PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON HEART & BRAIN DISORDERS
A public awareness programme on “Heart & Brain Disorders” was organized on 05th September 2010.
A team consisting of Cardiologist & Neurologist, Dr.Rahul Gupta spoke on Preventing Heart Diseases & Dr.Gautam Tripathy Spoke on the ‘Brain Stroke’ Causes, Treatment & Prevention, Dr.Ankita Asher spoke on Cardiac Rehabilitation & Dr. (Prof) S.C.Dey Cardiologist take a Concluding Remarks of this program. The preventive and curative aspects of Heart & Brain diseases were discussed followed by an interactive session.

Hiranandani Hospital is well equipped to deliver state of the art maternal and child care services. A programme on “Pregnancy and Antenatal Care” was organized on the 11th of July, 2010.All aspects related to antenatal care of the mother, the care of the newborn & painless labor were discussed, by the eminent panel of obstetricians, paediatricians & anesthesia attached to the hospital. The programme was well attended and was also very lively.

A public awareness programme on “Common Monsoon Diseases” was organized on 23rd of May 2010.
A team consisting of paediatricians, physician and gastroenterologist spoke on the common monsoon ailments including mosquito borne diseases.
The preventive and curative aspects of diseases were also discussed followed by an interactive session.

• PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAM ON YOUR TEETH - DO'S AND DONT'S
Hiranandani Hospital conducted a public awareness program on “Your Teeth - Do’s & Don’ts” on 18th Sunday, April 2010. An eminent team of dental surgeons answered a variety of queries related to dental health put forth by patients. The interactive session was very lively & informative.
