It was 1st March 2010, Holi, a day everyone started with joy and happiness a little did we know that evening would leave us flabbergasted. My dad was having a breathing problem and it got augmented and amplified. We rushed him to Hiranandani Hospital, as it was holiday there were RMO’s available. We got him checked and after doing the ECG, thunderstruck on us, it was a Heart Attack and we got him admitted in HDU.
Subsequently his condition deteriorated and breathlessness amplified and he was gasping. The oxygen didn’t work and he was getting critical and worse, we were loosing hope and Dr. Sundar Krishnan arrived to take control of the situation. He provided the right first aid, put him on ventilator and got the situation right under control. He called the Cardiologist Dr, Dey for his opinion and medication. He also arranged for Cariac Ambulance to shift him to L. H. Hiranandani Hospital, Powai for further treatment.
Had Dr. Sundar been little late by a minute that evening my father would have been no more……
All HDU staff was so quick to handle this emergency, they didn’t even wasted a second and got all the medical equipments and devices on time. Their efforts are really appreciated and commendable. We really want to thank all of them especially all Nurses in the ward who did their job so efficiently. My Dad still remembers the words from Doctor, Nurses & RMO’s. After stabilizing he was moved to ICU @ L. H. Hiranandani Hospital, Powai under care of Dr. Rahul Gupta.
At the Powai Hospital and everything was in place and the team was ready for the treatment. Dr. Rahul examined my dad and informed me about the test and procedures they will do. He explained me the anatomy of the heart and what exactly has happened and what he’s going to do to get things to normal. He told me they are continuously monitoring his situation and angioplasty has to be done immediately if things get worst. He explained me what the cost, procedure and time will be and also cleared all my doubts.
Around 00.30AM, I was informed that Angiography & Angioplasty has to be done as there were new developments seen in ECG. He was immediately shifted to Cathlab for Angiography & Angioplasty. Angiography & Angioplasty was carried by Dr. Rahul Gupta & Dr. Ganesh Kumar.
The courtesy of Dr. Ganesh should be appreciated after the procecure @ 02:30AM, he explained us what they have done and how the 4 blocks were stented successfully. Also, they did the procedure without us depositing any amount. What touched us were the words of Dr Ganesh Kumar after the Angioplasty “to save his life was our first priority”. Dr. Rahul then took us through the video of Angioplasty and made us understand the pictures before and after the procedure.
We are impressed by the world class facilities and professionalism in the hospital medical staff. In addition to Doctors, the ICU support staff – right from security to nurses deserve the word of praise. Would like appreciate and thank Sunil @ ICU staff for taking such a care.

Today my Dad is alive only because of the First Aid provided by Dr. Sundar Krishnan @ right time and the procedures carried by Dr. Rahul Gupta & Dr. Ganesh Kumar.
Kudos to Dr. Sunder, Dr. Rahul Gupta, Dr. Ganesh Kumar & their teams for providing such professional and preeminent service and care to the patients and their relatives.
I once again thank all the Doctors and support staff. I wish All the Best to Hiranandani Hospital, Thane & L H Hiranandani Hospital, Powai for the future endeavors.
Looking forward for Hiranandani Hospital, Thane to get at par with the Powai Hospital.

I appreciate the services given to me, it was beyond my expectations. Ms Nisha Bhise took her time to support my visit from preparations to discharge day. Even when I was in Tanzania, Ms Nisha was always ready to assist me. Dr Veena Sewlikar made me feel as if I was already cured even before the operation. She was also very humble and helpful. All the nurses were nice to me. Nurse Bincy Samuel was an exception as she was always taking more care of me to make me feel comfortable and painless. The Dieticians were always taking care of my needs as I am from Africa and the food here is different. I will definitely recommend the hospital to my colleagues and relatives.

Dr L H Hiranandani hospital is a place anybody can bank on for their medical needs; I articulate this point with personal experience. The work force is genuinely committed and accommodating. Dr Vijay Shetty is remarkable. A truly dedicated optimistic and through professional, he has the flair to change the hospital experience to an exciting and challenging adventure for himself, the patient and his family.
As for the non medical staff, we were assisted in every aspect by Ms Madhavi Sawant. For whatever thing at whatever time we called her for all our needs, she always found the solution.
