Home-care aims to make it possible for people to remain at home rather than use long-term, or institutional-based nursing care. Home-care providers render services in the client's own home.

Nursing Care:

Nursing care is an integral part of the health-care system. Nurses play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyle and self-care in the community. The facility will provide for highly skilled and well-trained nursing personnel for various medical care.
Following procedures would be covered under the home-care facility:

• Intramuscular injection
• Dressings -- post-operative, bed-sores dressing etc
• Urinary catheterization (male urinary catheterization would be done by a Doctor)
• Nebulization
• Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Blood pressure check
• Blood glucose monitoring by glucometer method
• Enema wash
• Bladder wash
• Stoma-care
• Post-discharge visit (Only within Hiranandani Gardens – free of cost)

Phlebotomy Services:

Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital has a "round-the-clock" laboratory testing facility with an extremely comprehensive menu of investigations. The Department of Laboratory Medicine is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art automated analyzers. National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories has accredited the department for the medical testing facility in the field of Clinical Biochemistry and Hormones. Apart from the web viewing of test reports and courier services for the reports are also extended to all patients within Mumbai.
The Home-care facility of the laboratory would extend the phlebotomy services to the doorsteps of the patient. To avail of the facility one requires taking a telephonic appointment by dialing 25763366 and requisitioning the tests. The hospital staff will give necessary instructions for the blood collection.  

Physiotherapy:

The Department of Physiotherapy is managed by highly dedicated and well-trained team of therapists. The home-care service provided by the Physiotherapy department would include:

• Home exercise therapy to rehabilitate the patient
• Pain relief using electrotherapy methods like short wave diathermy (SWD), transelectrical nerve stimulation (TENS), ultrasonic therapy
• Strengthen muscle weakness (facial palsy, foot drop) with the help of functional muscle stimulation
• Walking and gait training

The homecare facility would be useful for the patients who need physiotherapy, but who cannot come to the hospital such as in case of paralytic patient (recent-onset stroke), post-surgery (knee-replacement, hip-replacement), very acute and severe back or joint pain and any other acute orthopaedic or neurological conditions
