About the Department

The hospital today has the capability for two cath labs but is commissioning one. To our credit we were the FIRST in INDIA to procure the Philips Integris Allura Flat Panel Detector. This will forge the future of cardiovascular and other imaging. Such equipment is available in a few centers in the country.
This machine has the capability of not only doing cardiac work but other invasive vascular work as well, such as, tackling brain aneurysm or stopping bleeding by mechanically blocking the open blood vessel.

This single area is spread over 850 square feet ! Arguably this would be the largest lab in the country. The lab has the capability of transferring and beaming images anywhere in the world, in real time mode.

The hospital has a panel of "icon" doctors supporting the cardiac initiative. The hospital has a dedicated team of two well trained cardiologists full time in the hospital. They tackle all cardiac emergencies and also perform Primary Angioplasties in indicated cases.
